About Me
Hi, I’m Teacher Keith! For parents and students trying to filter and find a maths tutor that will place your child/your best interest at the core of lessons, here’s why I am a good fit.
I plan a Maths development roadmap for my students, focusing on their best interests and abilities instead of purely topical teaching. Students will be aware of how the topics are all linked, the skills they are cultivating and where they are in their journey. You will be engaging an education specialist specialised in Maths, a mathematician passionate about sharing the elegance and simplicity of Maths, an on-the-ball educator to anchor your child and nurture them to be confident amidst the stressful curriculum.
I teach students efficient holistic Mathematics. This approach has proven to be a more sustainable and less arduous method than the typical MOE curriculum. I believe in mindful Mathematics where students do not engage in rote memorisation but appreciate and absorb ideas and inspirations from the concepts. I have created my own methods not shown in textbooks that empower students to be effective problem solvers. Students will learn the language of Maths with me, not just dry formulae.

The way my students develop into the subject draws inspiration from my own past journey as a student of Maths. I recognised the fun and effective way to enjoy the subject and even created my own methods not taught in textbooks. I consistently ranked highest in my cohort, achieving full marks in my major exams all the way through to JC2. Such quality of learning is typically not cultivated, but it is not the fault of teachers for fostering rote memorisation, being severely time-constrained and forced to follow a standard curriculum that ends up encouraging such a culture. That’s why in my class, you would never expect an information-dumping session. Every lesson my students would leave with confidence and a stronger interest in Maths. A key goal is for them to apply creativity and efficiency in their Maths solutions and explanations as they realise Maths can be an art-form with a framework. Even for arts and humanities oriented students, they eventually appreciate Maths and have even become their strongest subject.
